'Splain me again why I want another advanced degree in this?

My degree came in the mail today. It is shiny and covered in "distinction," and I am absurdly pleased. I am officially the proud owner of a cuddly M.A. in English. Also, I guest-lectured in a friend's intro to fiction class on genre writing, emphasis on SF/fantasy. Cross posted on scalded_letters, ( here is the handout I used. )
